Police Activity Blotter 4/526 - 4/11/26

4/6/26, at 1:57 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of E. State Street on a vehicle with excessive windshield and surrounding window tint. (KS-26-003283). During the traffic stop, a THC vape was confiscated. A Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued to the operator of the vehicle.

4/7/26, at 4:05 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of W. State Street to assist the fire department. (KS-26-003327). Upon arrival, the fire police had shut down the street, and everyone was successfully evacuated. No smoke was observed at the scene.

4/8/26, at 2:28 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Birch Street for a possible domestic disturbance. (KS-26-003340). Upon arrival, Officers were advised that the argument had not escalated beyond a verbal disagreement, and, after further investigation, the two subjects involved went their separate ways.

4/8/26, at 9:00 AM, Officers received a Childline report in reference to alleged prior sexual abuse involving a juvenile. (KS-26-003403). This incident is pending further investigation. 

4/8/26, at 12:57 PM, Officers received an anonymous parking complaint regarding two vehicles parked between E. Mulberry Street and Marshall Street with expired inspection and emission stickers. (KS-26-003358). Upon inspection, no vehicles in the area matched the provided description.

4/9/26, at 1:38 PM, Officers were dispatched to S. Washington Street for a vehicle parked within 30 feet of a stop sign. (KS-26-003402). One parking ticket was issued.

4/9/26, at 2:41 PM, Officers were dispatched to a possible fraud report involving a business transferring money to a Bank of America account flagged for potential fraud. (KS-26-003405).  Fortunately, the company was not out of money, and the transaction was frozen.

4/9/26, at 7:36 PM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 400 Block of E. South Street for a trespassing complaint. (KS-26-003410). Contact was made with the subject, who had previously been told they were not permitted on the business's property, to advise them again.

4/10/26, at 8:56 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of S. Union Street for a well-being check requested by Children, Youth and Families Services. (KS-26-003424). Upon arrival, Officers did successfully contact the individual, and all appeared normal.

4/10/26, at 10:50 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 400 Block of N. Union Street on a vehicle with an illegal level of window tint. (KS-26-003428). While speaking with the driver, Officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, a Non-Traffic Citation was issued for the possession of marijuana products.

4/10/26, at 11:15 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of E. South Street for a male juvenile in possession of two THC vape pens. (KS-26-003430). This incident is pending further investigation.

4/10/26, at 4:01 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 500 Block of S. Union Street on a vehicle with a driver's side brake light not functioning properly. (KS-26-003441).  Upon further investigation, one Non- Traffic Citation was issued for Disorderly Conduct for the possession of THC products and paraphernalia.

4/10/26, at 6:38 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 200 Block of N. Garfield Street for a vehicle displaying no emissions or inspection stickers. (KS-26-003448). Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the vehicle operator had provided Officers with false identification and that a wallet containing several IDs was located inside the vehicle. They were taken into custody and transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison.

4/10/26, at 6:54 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of E. State Street for a welfare check on a 5-year-old female who was found unattended near the Kennett Library. (KS-26-003446). Contact was made with the family, who advised that she must have walked outside without them knowing. No signs of suspicious activity or neglect were observed.

4/11/26, at 10:49 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Lafayette Street for vandalism to a vehicle. (KS-26-003458). Upon further investigation, no cameras were located in the immediate area.

4/11/26, at 4:41 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the area of W. Cypress Street and Center Street on a vehicle whose registration was listed under a suspended driver. (KS-26-003467). Upon further investigation, the subject was taken into custody for not having an interlock system installed on the vehicle, which their license clearly stated was mandatory. 


Vehicle Accidents

4/7/26, at 2:37 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on Center Street. (KS-26-003321).

4/8/26, at 12:24 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. Linden Street (KS-26-003355).


Traffic Enforcement

29 Traffic Citations and 70 Written Warnings were issued.

128 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

14 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

70 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
