Police Activity Blotter 4/26/26 - 5/2/26

4/26/26, at 4:15 PM, while on patrol in the 200 Block of E. State Street, Officers observed a male juvenile shooting what appeared to be an orby gun at passing vehicles, trash cans, and across the street. (KS-26-003978). Subsequently, a non-traffic citation for disorderly conduct was issued to the juvenile for failing to stop firing the toy after the officer's commands.

4/26/26, at 6:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of S. Garfield Street for an argument between neighbors. (KS-26-003981). Officers were able to de-escalate the situation. 

4/26/26, at 8:26 PM, Officers were dispatched to the intersection of N. Union Street and E. State Street for a noise complaint. (KS-26-003989). Upon arrival, contact was made with a male playing the saxophone, who left the area without incident.

4/27/26, at 2:20 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of W. Sickle Street for a well-being check on a female subject who was having suicidal ideations. (KS-26-003998). EMS personnel transported the patient to the hospital without issues.

4/27/26, Officers received a Child Welfare Report (CY104) that alleged that a female juvenile was dating an adult male. (KS-26-004050). Upon further investigation, this incident has been cleared as unfounded.

4/27/26, at 9:02 PM, Officers were requested to assist the Kennett Township Police Department with an erratic driver complaint in the area of S. Union Street. (KS-26-004035). Upon arrival, KTPD located the vehicle and initiated a traffic stop on Kaolin Road.

4/28/26, at 9:51 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of E. Linden Street for a vehicle parked without a permit. (KS-26-004054). Officers located the vehicle owner and informed them that they needed to obtain a permit to park on this street.

4/28/26 at 9:27 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Magnolia Street for an open line with yelling in Spanish. (KS-26-004066). Upon arrival, no yelling was heard in the area. Contact was made with the residents, who advised that there was no disturbance. No signs of physical disturbance or distress were observed.

4/29/26, at 11:52 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Birch Street for a suspicious condition of a male subject using a step ladder to enter a building through the window. (KS-26-004080). Upon arrival, contact was made with the subject, who advised Officers that they had lost their keys and live at this location. His PA ID confirmed this information.

4/30/26, at 1:34 AM, while on patrol in the 600 Block of W. Cypress Street, Officers observed a white van parked in the right lane. (KS-26-004099). Contact was made with the driver, who advised that the vehicle was broken down. Officers contacted a towing company and arranged for the vehicle to be removed since it was blocking the roadway. 

4/30/26, at 10:08 AM, Officers were dispatched to a report involving the purchase of a vehicle from Facebook Marketplace. (KS-26-004111). Upon further investigation, it was determined that this incident was a civil matter.

4/30/26, at 12:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of E. South Street for a theft report for $40 taken from a juvenile female’s wallet. (KS-26-004118). Upon further investigation, a juvenile female admitted to taking the $40, and it was later returned to the rightful owner.

4/30/26, at 8:51 PM, Officers were dispatched to Hornblende Avenue for a report regarding a flood light shining into the reporting person’s home. (KS-26-004127). Upon further investigation, the light appeared to be facing downward toward the rear driveway rather than shining into the home's windows.  

5/1/26, at 6:43 PM, while at the intersection of S. Union Street and South Street, Officers observed a black Nissan failing to yield to oncoming traffic and nearly colliding with another vehicle. (KS-26-004152). A traffic stop was conducted, and upon further investigation, it was determined that the operator was under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody, processed, and later released.

5/1/26, at 10:24 PM, Officers were requested to assist the Kennett Township Police Department with a report of a large group of juveniles attending a party in the 400 Block of Burnt Mill Road. (KS-26-004158). Officers assisted in searching the surrounding wooded area for juveniles who fled the location.

5/2/26, at 7:43 PM, Officers were dispatched for an erratic driver in the area of E. Cypress Street and S. Union Street. (KS-26-004187). Officers searched the area but did not locate the vehicle described. 


Vehicle Accidents

5/1/26, at 12:53 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of S. Union Street and E. South Street. (KS-26-004147).

5/2/26, at 12:49 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of W. State Street and Meredith Street. (KS-26-004182).


Traffic Enforcement

26 Traffic Citations and 34 Written Warnings were issued.

58 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

14 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

87 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
