Police Activity Blotter 3/22/26 - 3/28/26

3/22/26, at 1:11 PM, Officers were dispatched with a four-minute delay for a report of an erratic driver in the area of S. Broad Street and E. South Street. (KS-26-002775). At the time of the call, Officers were at the location, and no vehicles matched the description provided.

3/22/26, at 1:13 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of Hornblende Avenue for a cable hazard in the yard of a residence. (KS-26-002774). Upon arrival, the cables were identified as Xfinity, and the company was notified of the incident. 

3/23/26, at 6:30 AM, Officers were advised that a subject for whom we had an arrest warrant was taken into custody by the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department and was at Chester County Prison. (KS-23-003690).

3/23/26, at 11:30 AM, Officers were dispatched to a report of a theft involving an unauthorized credit card charge. (KS-26-002804). After speaking with the credit card company, it was learned that this was a common practice and that the charge would be removed after the transaction was approved. The reporting party did not lose any money.

3/24/26, at 9:36 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of E. Cope Road for a theft report. (KS-26-002814). The reporting party advised that there was fraudulent activity in their bank account. This incident is pending further investigation.

3/24/26, at 10:38 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of Walnut Court Way for a reported stolen vehicle. (KS-26-002849). Chester County Police Radio advised that Sirius XM radio had located the stolen vehicle and placed it in that area. The vehicle was confirmed to have been stolen from Elkton, MD. This incident is pending further investigation.

3/24/26, at 2:33 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Kenview Avenue for a report involving harassment by a former employee. (KS-26-002852). Because the reporting party did not want police to contact the person involved, they were advised to cease all communication and contact KSPD if they changed their mind.

3/24/26, at 9:05 PM, Officers were dispatched to a call regarding a lost vehicle key. (KS-26-002866). The reporting party advised that they were working on W. State Street during the day and wanted to confirm whether the key had been turned in, which it had not.

3/25/26, at 4:55 PM, Officers were dispatched to a business in the 100 Block of E. State Street. (KS-26-002899). The reporting party advised that a white, male subject approached and asked for $10, when they told him they did not have any cash, he yelled a profanity and stormed off.

 3/25/26, at 9:01 PM, while on patrol in the 100 Block of W. State Street, officers observed a white Toyota stopped in the right lane, blocking traffic with the hazard lights activated. (KS-26-002904). While speaking to the operator of the vehicle, Officers detected a strong odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from her breath. Upon further investigation, she was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI.

3/26/26, at 7:00 AM, Sergeant Gravina assisted the Chester County Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force with executing a search warrant in Sadsbury Township, Pennsylvania. (KS-26-002913). 

3/26/26, at 11:35 AM, Officers were dispatched for a verbal dispute between a business owner and a customer in the 400 Block of South Street. (KS-26-002922).  It was advised that the owner did not wish to pursue charges but wanted the subject to be made aware that they were no longer allowed on the property. 

3/26/26, at 2:22 PM, Officers were dispatched for a scam report regarding someone who made threatening comments to the reporting party about payment for English lessons. (KS-26-002927). Officers advised that the subject was just attempting to scare him into giving them money and to cease contact. 

3/27/26, at 1:06 PM, Officers were dispatched to the shopping center in the 600 Block of S. Union Street for a report of two Hispanic males asking customers for money and following them to their vehicles. (KS-26-0029550. Contact was made with the two individuals who were advised they could not continue this behavior, and they left without issue.

3/27/26, at 1:52 PM, Officers conducted a traffic stop in the 600 Block of W. State Street on a vehicle that had heavily tinted windows and an exhaust system that appeared to be modified. (KS-26-002959). The vehicle’s operator was checked for warrants, and an active warrant from the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department was located. He was taken into custody without incident. 

3/27/26, at 7:32 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of E. State Street for a parking complaint involving a vehicle parked in a handicapped parking space without a placard displayed. (KS-26-002963). Upon arrival, a handicapped placard was seen hanging on the rear-view mirror of the vehicle.

3/28/26, at 9:23 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street for a report of a possible domestic disturbance between husband and wife. (KS-26-002980). Subsequently, a 302 warrant was executed, and one subject was taken to the hospital by EMS personnel.


Vehicle Accidents

3/22/26, at 9:16 AM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of W. Cypress Street and Meredith Street. (KS-26-02771).

3/22/26, at 12:26 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of E. State Street and S. Union Street. (KS-26-002773).

3/26/26, at 6:24 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. State Street. (KS-26-002904).

3/28/26, at 12:19 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of S. Union Street and Ridge Avenue. (KS-26-002987).


Traffic Enforcement

 26 Traffic Citations and 46 Written Warnings were issued.

133 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

14 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

82 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
