Police Activity Blotter 1/25/26 - 1/31/26

1/25/26, at 2:19 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block for a reported assault. (KS-26-000883). Two subjects were charged with simple assault and other related offenses.

1/25/26, at 9:29 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Church Aly and E. South Street for a vehicle stuck in the snow. (KS-26-000888). The vehicle's owner asked Officers to use the push bumper on the patrol vehicle to push the vehicle. The vehicle was driven away from the scene without any damage.

1/26/26, at 9:27 AM, Officers were dispatched for vehicles still parked on the snow emergency route in the 600 Block of W. State Street. (KS-26-000899). Management of the apartments advised their tenants were aware of the “No Parking” for the snow emergency route and requested that the vehicles be removed and towed.

1/26/26, at 11:00 AM, Officers were dispatched for vehicles parked along the snow emergency route in the 500 Block of E. Cypress Street. (KS-26-000904). Multiple vehicles were ticketed, and one was later towed.

1/26/26, at 11:41 AM, while checking the snow emergency routes in the 500 Block of E. Cypress Street, Officers observed a vehicle with the owner standing next to it, gesturing for assistance. It was determined that the vehicle’s keys were locked inside, and Officers successfully unlocked the vehicle to retrieve the keys.

1/26/26, at 2:29 PM, Officers were requested by Chester County Police Radio to assist the Valley Township Police Department with translation services while they investigated an accident that occurred in their municipality. (KS-26-000905). 

1/26/26, at 10:35 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Hazel Avenue for a report involving cyberbullying. (KS-26-000913). The reporting party advised that they would speak with the SRO the following morning regarding this incident.

1/27/26, at 6:24 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of Race Street for a parking complaint of vehicles parked in a private parking lot. (KS-26-000925). The reporting party was advised that the vehicles were ticketed overnight, but they had the right to tow the vehicles violating their posted parking restrictions. 

1/27/26, at 7:29 AM, Officers observed a white van stuck in the snow and several subjects attempting to assist. (KS-26-000926). Officers assisted with blocking traffic until the vehicle was unstuck. 

1/27/26, at 9:38 AM, Officers were dispatched to W. Cedar Street for vehicles parked on the snow emergency route. (KS-26-000930). Contact was made with the owners, who advised that they would be removed from the street.

1/27/26, at 10:39 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of W. State Street for a vehicle parked on the snow emergency route. (KS-26-000933). After multiple attempts to contact the vehicle owner, the vehicle was towed. 

1/27/26, at 2:40 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of E. South Street for a physical altercation. (KS-26-000964). A Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued. 

1/27/26, between 1:15 PM and 3:15 PM, Officers conducted enforcement of Borough Ordinance 17-4 – Removal of Snow, Hail or Ice from Sidewalks. (KS-26-000935). Approximately 35 warnings were issued. 

1/27/26, at 4:04 PM, Officers were dispatched to S. Union Street for vehicles parked on the snow emergency route, obstructing traffic. (KS-26-000941). Parking tickets were issued, and the owners were contacted to have their vehicles removed.

1/28/26, at 9:01 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Center Street for a vehicle parked in a private parking lot. (KS-26-000967). One parking ticket was issued.

1/28/26, at 5:25 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Hazel Avenue and Wilson Road for a loose pitbull running around the neighborhood. (KS-26-000982). Officers contacted the owner, who advised that the dog had already returned home.

1/29/26, at 10:14 AM, Officers conducted a warrant service in the 300 Block of Birch Street for a male subject who had multiple warrants out of the West Chester Police Department and county bench warrants. (KS-26-001008). He was taken into custody without issue and transported to the Chester County Prison.

1/29/26, at 10:38 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of inappropriate video of a juvenile female posted on social media. (KS-26-001009). This incident is pending further investigation.

1/29/26, at 8:13 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 100 Block of W. South Street regarding a loose dog. (KS-26-001023). Officers advised the owners that their dog was outside on the front lawn and brought it back inside.

1/29/26, at 9:40 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of S. Broad Street for a suspicious condition. (KS-26-001026). The reporting party advised they had heard banging at their neighbor’s window and believed it was a request for help. Contact was made with the neighbor, who advised that they were hanging photos using a hammer.

1/30/26, at 2:52 AM, while conducting business checks on Cypress Street, Officers observed a door unlocked. (KS-26-001030). The business was checked, with nothing out of the ordinary observed. 

1/30/26, at 11:17 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of Center Street for a cat with two broken legs. (KS-26-001042). Upon arrival, no cat was observed. The reporting party advised that they had brought the cat into their home and planned to take care of it.

1/31/26, at 1:16 PM, while on a foot patrol in the business district, Officers heard an accident occur in the 100 Block of W. State Street. (KS-26-001076). While speaking with one of the drivers, a strong odor of alcoholic beverages was emitting from the vehicle, but not the individual. Upon further inspection, two opened, empty beer cans were found inside the vehicle. A Non-Traffic Citation was issued for Borough Ordinance 12-1.

1/31/26, at 9:52 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 400 Block of S. Walnut Street for a report of a physical domestic. (KS-26-001091). One subject was taken into custody and transported to Chester County Prison.

1/26/26, at 7:31 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. Cypress Street. (KS-26-000893).

1/27/26, at 8:51 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. State Street. (KS-26-000895).

1/28/26, at 3:18 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. State Street. (KS-26-000981).

1/28/26, at 7:15 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. State Street. (KS-26-000987).

1/29/26, at 6:58 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on S. Washington Street. (KS-26-001019).

1/31/26, at 1:28 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. State Street. (KS-26-001076).

Traffic Enforcement

17 Traffic Citations and 33 Written Warnings were issued.

183 Parking Tickets were issued.

Patrol & Business Check

10 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.
