11/19/23 at 6:46AM, Officers were dispatched for a silent burglar alarm at a business in the 100 Block of S. Mill Road. (KS-23-011025). Upon arrival, the exterior of the building appeared to be undisturbed. Contact was made with the store manager, who had advised the inside of the building was checked with no issues.
11/19/23 at 11:26PM, Officers were advised a vehicle in the 100 Block of N. Willow Street was repossessed by International Recovery. (KS-23-011043).
11/20/23 at 9:16AM, Officers were dispatched for two juveniles who had a strong odor of marijuana. (KS-23-011058). Pending charges.
11/20/23 at 11:00AM, Officers were dispatched for a Safe to Say Report in reference to a juvenile possibly being in possession of nude photos of other juveniles. (KS-23-011060). Officers made contact with the juvenile who advised the allegations were false.
11/20/23 at 12:51PM, Officers were dispatched for damage discovered to a vehicle in the parking garage. (KS-23-011066). Pending video review.
11/20/23 at 1:50PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Center Street and W. South Street for an erratic driver complaint. (KS-23-011070). This area was checked and rendered negative results. The registration provided rendered no results when checked.
11/20/23 at 3:03PM, Officers were dispatched for a male solicitor in the area of Ridge Avenue and S. Washington Street. (KS-23-011071). Officers made contact with the solicitor and advised the activity was prohibited and a warning was issued.
11/20/23 at 3:58PM, Officers were dispatched for a parking complaint in the 200 Block of N. Broad Street for a trailer blocking a driveway. (KS-23-011073). The trailer was able to be moved to the nearest safe location due to the company conducting work nearby.
11/21/23 at 1:27PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of an erratic driver in the area of Center Street and W. Cypress Street. (KS-23-011096). The area was checked and no vehicle matching the description given was located. The reporting party was advised of the outcome.
11/22/23 at 2:07AM, while on patrol Officers observed a Ford truck with a male asleep inside, in a parking lot in the 500 Block of W. Cypress Street. (KS-23-011120). Contact was made with the operator who advised they were taking a nap on their break from work. No signs of impairment were observed and he was released without further incident.
11/22/23 at 7:24AM, Officers were dispatched regarding the parking garage gate not opening. (KS-23-011128). The parking garage gates were manually opened due to the parking garage not having internet services.
11/22/23 at 9:14AM, Officers were dispatched to the area of E. Cypress Street and S. Walnut Street for a traffic hazard. (KS-23-011125). The reporting party advised a large trailer hitch was left in the lane of travel. Upon arrival, the trailer hitch was no longer in the area.
11/22/23 at 12:43PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Magnolia Street for a possible domestic disturbance. (KS-23-011127). Officers made contact with both subjects involved who advised it was a mutual argument and at no time did it become physical.
11/23/23 at 10:10PM, while on patrol at the intersection of State Street and S. Union Street, Officers observed a vehicle traveling westbound with the front passenger side headlight to be off, as the right hand turn signal was on and flashing. (KS-23-011165). A Traffic Stop was conducted. Subsequently, the operator of the vehicle was taken into custody for suspicion of driving under the influence and a chemical test of their breath resulted in a BAC of .291%.
11/23/23 at 8:38PM, Officers were dispatched to the 300 Block of W. Linden Street for a burglary with a subject attempting to break into the homeowner’s shed. (KS-23-011162). The area was searched with negative results. No part of the home or shed appeared to be tampered with. The reporting party advised they heard someone attempting to get into the back door.
11/23/23 at 10:12PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of S. Garfield Street for a noise complaint involving loud music. (KS-23-011164). The area was patrolled with no music being heard.
11/24/23 at 2:08PM, Officers were dispatched to Anson B. Nixon Park for a key locked in vehicle complaint. (KS-23-011174). The reporting party advised their juvenile child was in the vehicle, not in distress. Upon arrival, the juvenile was asleep in the vehicle and Officers were able to unlock it without issue.
11/25/23 at 8:53PM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a suspicion condition in the 100 Block of E. State Street. The reporting party advised they heard a male screaming in the hallway, while running past their office. (KS-23-011207). Officers made contact with the juvenile who was advised he was no longer allowed in the business.
