1/18/26, at 12:04 PM, Officers initiated a traffic stop in the 300 Block of W. State Street on a vehicle with an expired registration. (KS-26-000630). While speaking with the vehicle operator, Officers detected an odor of marijuana emitting from the vehicle. Upon further investigation, one Non-Traffic Citation was issued for Disorderly Conduct.

1/18/26, at 1:33 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 800 Block of S. Walnut Street for a verbal dispute. (KS-26-000631). The reporting party advised that they called the police so that the other person would leave the property, which they did before they could be questioned about the incident.

1/18/26, at 6:43 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of S. Garfield Street for a report of a verbal argument between neighbors regarding a misdelivered package. (KS-26-000642). Officers returned the package to the rightful owners.

1/18/26, at 9:15 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of Meredith Street for a report of leaf blowers making noise for 30 minutes. (KS-26-000644). Upon arrival, no leaf blowers were heard, but a snow removal company was observed in the area using a snow blower that was not excessive or loud. The company advised that they would be leaving the area shortly.

1/19/26, at 5:19 AM, Officers were dispatched for a possible missing person report. (KS-26-000655). The reporting party advised that they were supposed to meet someone they had been talking to online, but the person never showed up. Upon further investigation, it was determined that they had been scammed out of money, and the person had no intention of meeting them.

1/19/26, at 9:09 AM, Officers were dispatched to the parking garage regarding a car unable to exit because the gates had been opened the night prior, and the driver did not have a ticket. (KS-26-000660). Officers opened the exit gate so the car could leave. 

1/20/26, Officers issued approximately 42 snow warnings to residents who had not cleared their sidewalks within 24 hours of the snowstorm's cessation, required by Borough Ordinance 17-4. (KS-26-000701). 

1/21/26, at 11:25 AM, Officers were dispatched for a report of a Snapchat photo depicting a firearm. (KS-26-000746). Upon further investigation, it was determined that the firearm in the photo was an airsoft gun and that the juvenile no longer had possession of it. 

1/21/26, at 2:25 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 Block of W. Sickle Street for a found dog. (KS-26-000751). The dog was recognized by Officers and was returned to its home.

1/21/26, at 10:42 PM, while on patrol, Officers observed flames coming from a trash can in the top lot of Anson B. Nixon Park. (KS-26-000772). The fire department was contacted to extinguish the fire.

1/22/26, at 1:57 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of W. Mulberry Street for water leaking in an apartment building. (KS-26-000773). Due to the water shut-off valve not being located, Public Works was notified, and it was shut off at the street. 

1/22/26, at 12:53 PM, Officers received a report of a keychain with multiple keys that was lost while walking a dog in the Borough. (KS-26-000797). No keychain has been turned in at this time.

1/22/26, at 2:47 PM, a traffic stop was conducted in the 600 Block of S. Broad Street on a vehicle with heavy window tint. (KS-26-000804). Upon further investigation, it was learned that the driver of the vehicle did not possess a valid driver’s license. Subsequently, the vehicle was towed. 

1/22/26, at 3:28 PM, Officers made contact with the operator of a vehicle in the 500 Block of S. Union Street, who had a strong odor of marijuana emanating from inside their vehicle. (KS-26-0008050. With consent, the vehicle was searched, and an open container was located. One Non-Traffic Citation was issued. 

1/23/26, at 8:50 AM, Officers received a report of a stolen vehicle from the 300 Block of Juniper Street. (KS-26-000831).  At approximately 9:40 AM, Officers were advised that the vehicle was located in Wilmington, DE.

1/23/26, at 11:00 AM, Officers received multiple reports of missing items from unlocked vehicles in the area of Irwin Street and Roney Street. (KS-26-000834). This incident is pending further investigation in attempts to identify the suspect(s). 

1/24/26, at 2:37 AM, Officers were dispatched for a noise complaint in the 200 Block of Birch Street. (KS-26-000862). Contact was made with two subjects, who advised they were attempting to get a hotel room but could not reach a customer service representative. A courtesy transport was provided to a nearby hotel. 

1/24/26, at 11:00 PM, a snow emergency went into effect, and snow emergency routes were enforced. (KS-26-000887). Approximately 38 parking tickets were issued.

1/18/26 at 6:08 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on W. State Street. (KS-26-000640).

1/18/26 at 6:11 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of W. State Street and N. Mill Road. (KS-26-000641).

1/23/26, at 11:56 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on Wayne Avenue. (KS-26-000838).

1/23/26, at 4:59 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of E. Cypress Street and W. Cypress Street. (KS-26-000846).

1/24/26, at 11:32 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on S. Walnut Street. (KS-26-000868).


Traffic Enforcement

33 Traffic Citations and 47 Written Warnings were issued.

87 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

16 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

82 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
