Recognition of Exceptional Service

The Upper Southampton Township Police Department is honored to acknowledge the outstanding contributions of Officer Ryan Hand, who has selflessly served the community with dedication and distinction. Regrettably, Officer Hand's career was cut short due to a work-related injury, necessitating his retirement. The Department would like to extend its sincerest gratitude to Officer Hand for his service and wishes him all the best in his future pursuits.

Acts of Bravery and Merit

Officers Ethan Dilcherd and Daniel Lisa have been awarded a commendation for Bravery in connection with the apprehension of an armed and dangerous individual, these Officers put themselves in risk of serious bodily injury to protect others. 

Officers Michael Ferry and Michael McNicholas have received Merit commendations for their role in taking an armed and barricaded subject into custody.

Unit Citation for Exceptional Teamwork

A Unit Citation has been awarded to Sergeant Michael Jones, Detective Jim Schirmer, Officer Michael McNicholas, Officer Fred Williamson, Officer Daniel Morson, and Officers Mike Szelagowski and Joe Guinan of the Philadelphia Police Department for their outstanding collaboration in tracking and apprehending a suspect wanted in connection with a home invasion robbery.

These officers embody the values of serving with integrity and respect, and the Department is grateful for their dedication and professionalism.
