The officers of the Newtown Township Police Department are prepared to serve and protect our community throughout Winter Storm Hernando.
As the snow begins to fall, we ask for your cooperation to help keep everyone safe:
🚫 Remove parked vehicles from public roadways.
🚗 Stay off highways and roadways unless absolutely necessary, so our DPW and PennDOT crews can effectively plow and treat the roads.
💪 Use caution while shoveling. Snow removal is strenuous, and we often see an increase in medical emergencies during storms. Take breaks, stay hydrated, and know your limits.
🏠 Check on elderly neighbors or anyone who may need assistance during the storm. A quick call or knock can make a big difference.
