The Bucks County District Attorney’s Office and the Bucks County DUI Task Force have announced a multi-jurisdictional sobriety checkpoint scheduled for the upcoming St. Patrick's Day weekend.
Beginning Saturday, March 14, 2026 at 10:00 p.m. and continuing until Sunday, March 15 at 2:00 a.m., law enforcement officers will conduct a checkpoint on Route 611 (Easton Road) in Warrington Township. The operation is intended to deter impaired driving and help keep our roadways safe during one of the year’s busiest holiday weekends.
Approximately 30 officers from multiple Bucks County police departments will participate in the checkpoint, including officers from Warrington Township, Bensalem Township, Middletown Township, Hilltown Township, Newtown Township and Newtown Borough.
The Bucks County DUI Task Force reminds everyone that Pennsylvania has zero tolerance for impaired driving.
Please keep the following safety tips in mind:
-
Plan Ahead: Designate a sober driver or arrange a rideshare before you begin celebrating.
-
Be a Responsible Host: If you are hosting a gathering, help ensure your guests have a safe way home and offer non-alcoholic options.
-
Report Danger: If you observe a vehicle being driven erratically or suspect a driver is impaired, safely pull over and dial 911.
We want everyone to enjoy the St. Patrick’s Day festivities safely. If you plan to drink, plan for a sober ride home. 🍀🚗
