Newtown Township, PA - PennDOT has notified our department of planned road closures beginning Wednesday, April 08, 2026 through Tuesday, June 30, 2026.

State Street will be closed weekdays between 09:00AM - 03:00PM from Chancellor Street to the Newtown Bypass (Route 332) for PECO utility improvements. 

Detour signs will be posted directing drivers to use the Newtown Bypass (Route 332), Sycamore Street and Centre Avenue. 

Motorists are advised to avoid the area, if possible, use alternate routes, and allow for additional travel time. Please follow all posted traffic control devices.
