At approximately 3:30 pm police were dispatched to a business in the Newtown Industrial Commons for the report of a bomb threat. Officers secured the area, and Middletown Township Police Department’s explosive-detecting K9s conducted an exterior and interior sweep of the business. After a comprehensive investigation and search of the area, no suspicious devices or credible threats were located. The police verified that the threat was unfounded, and normal business operations resumed. The incident remains under investigation.
March 4, 2026
At approximately 3:00 pm a Newtown Township resident responded to headquarters to report a fraud involving scammers posing as cryptocurrency analysts. The investigation is ongoing at this time.
At approximately 5:15 pm police were dispatched for a retail theft at Rally House on South Eagle Road. The total value of loss was approximately $250.
