At approximately 12:45 am, police responded to a vehicle accident in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Durham Road. Upon contact with one of the involved parties, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.

August 10, 2026

At approximately 9:21 pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a Ford Expedition operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Lower Silver Lake Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
