Newtown Township, PA - On October 23, 2019 at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Newtown Township Police Department investigated a person wanted in connection to non-violent thefts within the township who was located in the area of the Salad Works on South Eagle Road.  In an effort to avoid apprehension, he and his accomplice fled in different directions into the wooded area that separates the shopping center and Council Rock High School.  Both males were quickly found and subsequently arrested.  Although this incident took place near the school property it was entirely unrelated to school activities and there was no immediate safety concern involving the school.
