Newtown Township, Pa - On June 18, 2022 at approximately 2:39am the Newtown Township Police Department responded to the Newtown Crossing Community Association (NCCA) pool for the report of a fire. Officers arrived to find a homemade raft on fire and floating in the pool. Prior to police arrival, several individuals were seen on surveillance video fleeing the scene.

As a result, the pool was forced to be closed for more than a week while the cleanup and repairs are expected to cost the NCCA several thousand dollars.
