GPD has received reports of local residents receiving phone calls about missing jury duty, and having warrants for their arrest through the Adams County Sheriff's Department and/or local Police Department.  The scammer reports to be a representative of the department, even using members names, and advise they can take care of the problem if you pay them in some type of credit or store card.  If you refuse, they may even threaten you with immediate arrest.  These are scams.  HANG UP. 

The Courts, Sheriff or Police will not ask you for payment in any form over the phone.  You may call the county/police department or agency to verify if there is a problem.
