Gettysburg Police personnel received information that a scammer/police impersonator is calling people stating that he is from the Gettysburg Police Warrant Service or Gettysburg Police Department and that he has a warrant for them.  The person being called is advised to provide money to the caller or they will be arrested.  The caller identifies himself as Officer Steven Cox, and the phone number being used is 717-323-6157.  We are aware of several citizens being contacted by this impersonator.  If you receive a call from this impersonator, please notify our department at 717-334-1168 or your local police department.
