The Saugerties Police Department wants to remind residents and visitors that the annual Hudson Valley Garlic Festival is happening this weekend, Saturday & Sunday, at Cantine Veterans Memorial Complex.

Expect heavy vehicular and pedestrian traffic throughout the Town and Village of Saugerties, particularly along the following corridors:

• Route 9W
• Route 32
• Ulster Avenue
• Washington Avenue
• Market Street
• Mike Kraut Road
• Peoples Road
• NYS Thruway Exit 20 Interchange

🚗 Tips for Drivers & Residents:

• Plan Ahead: Allow extra travel time if you are driving through or near Saugerties.
• Use Alternate Routes: Local drivers not attending the festival are strongly encouraged to avoid the Cantine Complex area and use alternate routes when possible.
• Drive Cautiously: Watch for increased pedestrian crosswalk traffic and obey all posted event parking and direction signs.
• Follow Officer Directions: Officers will be stationed at key intersections to assist with traffic flow. Please slow down and follow all police control instructions.
