The Town of Saugerties, as well as other communities within the Hudson Valley area, is experiencing flooding conditions. Saugerties is under a Flash Flood Warning until 1:45 PM today. With overnight rainfall, the current forecast, and an upcoming high tide shortly before 3:00 PM, we are expecting further flooding.

Your safety, as well as the safety of first responders, highway crews, and utility workers, is our priority. If you must travel in these conditions, please remember:

• Do not drive or walk through flooded roadways.
• Never drive around road barriers or closure signs.
• Leave your car immediately if it stalls in rising water and climb to higher ground.
• Stay away from creeks, streams, and low-lying areas during heavy rain.
• Dial 911 if you are currently trapped or need emergency rescue.
• Contact  the Saugerties Police Department if you are in need of emergency shelter.
