On July 22, 2026, at approximately 4:00 p.m., the Saugerties Police Department arrested James M. Rucano, age 53, of Saugerties, NY.  Rucano was charged with the misdemeanors of Aggravated Unlicensed Operator of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, Resisting Arrest, Obstructing Governmental Administration in the 2nd Degree, as well as several traffic infractions. Rucano was processed at the Saugerties Police Department and released on an appearance ticket to appear in the Town of Saugerties Justice Court at a later date.
