On February 20, 2026, at approximately 1:30 p.m., the Saugerties Police Department arrested Alan M. Kessler, age 79, of Saugerties, NY, following the report of a one-car property damage collision.  As a result of an investigation, Kessler was arrested for Driving While Ability Impaired by Drug and Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the 7th Degree.  Kessler was processed the Saugerties Police Department and transported to CAP court for an arraignment.
