Press release! Bow New Hampshire Police department!
The Bow Police Department is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the individual(s) responsible for the reckless discharge of a firearm and destruction of property that occurred on Risingwood Drive earlier this morning (12/09/2025) at approximately 1:00 AM.
Several Christmas inflatable displays were shot at with a firearm in the residential neighborhood of Risingwood Drive.
Preliminary investigation indicates that the firearm was discharged from the roadway, suggesting that the suspect(s) may have been sitting in a vehicle or standing in the road at the time of the shooting.
This act of vandalism is not only destructive to private property but, more importantly, poses a serious and reckless danger to the residents of this neighborhood.
The individual(s) responsible for this conduct may face charges including Criminal Mischief and reckless conduct involving a firearm. The New Hampshire Revised Statutes Annotated (RSA) addresses the reckless use of firearms. Specifically, RSA 644:13 addresses Reckless Conduct, which can be charged if a person "recklessly engages in conduct” which places or may place another in danger of serious bodily injury.
Chief Miller stated, “We are fortunate that no one was injured last night. Discharging a firearm in a residential area, potentially from a vehicle, demonstrates a shocking disregard for the safety of our community. We are asking anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious in the area of Risingwood Drive around 1:00 AM this morning to please contact us immediately.”
The Bow Police Department asks that residents in the Risingwood Drive area and adjacent streets review any home surveillance (Ring/security cameras) footage they may have for the time frame of 1:00 AM to 2:00 AM on the morning of 12/09/2025. We are looking for any images or video of suspicious vehicles or individuals.
