(C) Any growth of weeds, grasses or bushes to a (Height Greater than (8) Eight Inches); provided, however, that this subsection shall not apply to planted and cultivated flowers, shrubbery, or other landscaping.

§ 245-3  Accumulation prohibited

Improper Disposal - Depositing Junk, Unwanted Items, and Rubbish at edge of property along roadway on Non-Garbage Collection Days

The owner, occupant or lessee of any premises in the City shall remove from the premises and dispose of all garbage, dead rodents, animals or fowl, ashes, tin cans, manure and all refuse and rubbish of every description whatsoever and shall keep the premises at all times free and clear of any accumulation of the same. It shall be the duty of every owner or his agent or occupant of any house, building or apartment in the City to deposit all waste in a durable, watertight container with a close-fitting cover.

• It shall be the duty of every owner, occupant or lessee of any premises in the City to remove from the public way that is immediately contiguous to said premises any and all garbage, and all refuse and rubbish of every description whatsoever, and shall keep the public way at all times free and clear of any accumulation of the same. The foregoing shall not preclude the placement of garbage, refuse and rubbish in a proper receptacle for collection by a waste hauler  ON THE DESIGNATED WASTE COLLECTION DAY.

§ 293-11 Golf Carts - Permit Required

Golf Carts can be operated on the city streets year-round, but please, just remember a few important points....

• ALL Golf Carts operated on a City street must be registered and display a *2025 sticker.
• Golf Cart registration can be done at City Hall (M-F, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm).
• Golf Carts must pass inspection at City Hall at time of registration.
• Proof of valid insurance is required at time of registration.
• Only valid licensed drivers by the State of Illinois or any other State can operate a Golf Cart on City streets.
• Compliance with all provisions of City Code (Chapter 293) is required.
