§ 211-1 Nuisances prohibited.


TALL GRASS & WEEDS

ANY GROWTH OF WEEDS, GRASSES OR BUSHES TO A HEIGHT GREATER THAN EIGHT (8) INCHES; provided, however, that this subsection shall not apply to planted and cultivated flowers, shrubbery, or other landscaping.

NOISE

  • The making, continuing, or causing of any loud, disturbing or unusual noise which unreasonably annoys, disturbs, injures, or endangers the comfort, repost, convenience, health,               peace or safety of others within the limits of the City. For the purposes of this section, loud, disturbing or unusual noises shall include but not be limited to the following:
  • Sounding of any vehicle horn or signaling device except as reasonably necessary to warn of any impending danger;
  • Playing, using, operating, or permitting to be played any sound amplifying devise producing or reproducing a loud and raucous sound to be plainly audible at a distance of fifty (50) feet    from the location of such device. As used herein sound amplifying device means any device utilizing electric current which amplifies a musical instrument, tuner, phonograph, magnet        tape, any electronically synthesized sound or the human voice; or
  • Any non-amplified disagreeable or annoying sound that unreasonably disturbs the peace and comfort of occupants of adjacent property. As used herein, adjacent property is property located within ______ feet of the source of such sound


      § 245-3. Accumulation prohibited; containers.

 LEAVING JUNK OR OTHER DISCARDED ITEMS AND MATERIALS AT THE EDGE OF RESIDENTIAL AND BUSINESS PROPERTY IS PROHIBITED, UNLESS IT IS LEFT FOR NORMAL PICK-UP ON DESIGNATED WASTE COLLECTION DAYS

The owner, occupant or lessee of any premises in the City shall remove from the premises and dispose of all garbage, dead rodents, animals or fowl, ashes, tin cans, manure and all refuse and rubbish of every description whatsoever and shall keep the premises at all times free and clear of any accumulation of the same. It shall be the duty of every owner or his agent or occupant of any house, building or apartment in the City to deposit all waste in a durable, watertight container with a close-fitting cover.

  • It shall be the duty of every owner, occupant or lessee of any premises in the City to remove from the public way that is immediately contiguous to said premises any and all garbage, dead rodents, animals or fowl, ashes, tin cans, manure and all refuse and rubbish of every description whatsoever and shall keep the public way at all times free and clear of any accumulation of the same. The foregoing shall not preclude the placement of garbage, refuse and rubbish in a proper receptacle for collection by a waste hauler on the designated waste collection day.
