Beginning March 24th, 2026 through March 31st, 2026, the Summit Police Department will be conducting special patrols to target speed infractions and officers will be enforcing posted speed limits. We urge our community residents and visitors to slow down and drive safe – it’s your best defense in a crash. This additional speed protection enforcement is administered by the Illinois Department of Transportation with federal highway safety funds managed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
