As of December 11, 2024, all Summit police officers will be equipped body worn cameras (BWC). There is a transition period while officers and staff get acquainted with the new equipment. As officers deploy body worn cameras operationally, the Summit Police Department meets the State mandate as outlined in the SAFE-T Act. All law enforcement agencies must have operational body worn cameras by January 1, 2025. Pictured is Sergeant Makowski with his new issued BWC.
