Summit Police responded to Argo High School after the dispatch center received an automated call of an “active threat” at the school. The school resource officer was contacted and out of an abundance of caution a lock down was initiated. Officers cleared the school in search of any threats with negative results. It was discovered that the call was a result of a system glitch with the phone system and the message was sent. Any students who were outside were screened upon entry and the remainder of the day was carried out. Once again there was no threat at this time. Thank you for your cooperation.
