Please welcome the newest police officer to the City of Cortez- Cortez Police Department - Officer Shannon Jennings.  She graduated from the Southwest Regional Law Enforcement Academy on Sunday, took her final exam Thursday morning and was sworn into her new career position on Thursday afternoon surrounded by co-workers and other city employees.  Today begins her months-long field training with supervisors.
