REQUEST FOR BODY WORN CAMERA VIDEO

NOTE: If this pertains to a Criminal Case – DO NOT USE THIS FORM. Submit your request for body camera video through the Discovery process with the District Attorney’s Office.

Requests for body worn camera video requires full playback of each video before redaction begins, to verify the involvement of each party in the video, ensuring that video(s) is/are redacted in accordance with Colorado State Statutes. Please keep this in mind, as far as costs, when requesting video(s) from multiple Officers that respond to the same incident, or when requesting a large time frame of video.

Colorado State Statute requires blurring of faces of all victims, witnesses, and bystanders. The only faces that will not be blurred are persons who have been arrested and first responders.

Body worn camera video of incidents involving sexual assault and/or domestic violence will only be released to the victim or an attorney. Body worn camera video of incidents involving juveniles will only be released to the juvenile’s parent/guardian or an attorney.

Fee Schedule:

Research & Redaction	$30.00 per hour (1 hour minimum, paid in advance)
Jump Drive	$5.00 per drive needed to fulfill request
Mailing	$3.00
