Officers seized 158.0 grams of fentanyl, over $7,000 in cash, and one firearm while executing a search warrant at 1208 San Luis yesterday, April 27, 2023. 

There were two adults and one child in the house. Brooke Sanchez was questioned and released on scene. The child was left in her custody.

Nicholas Gonzales was taken into custody and placed at the Las Animas County Detention Center. He is charged with possession with intent to distribute, special offender, unlawful possession of a schedule II controlled substance and child abuse. He is being held on a $50,000.00 cash only bond.
