Officers responded to a call about a suspicious incident. The caller stated there were some parties that had flashlights and were possibly looking into vehicles. Officers made contact with a male and female in a vehicle who stated they had dropped something and was looking for it. The driver of the vehicle then put the vehicle in gear and took off at a high rate of speed. The vehicle collided with a tree and the driver then fled on foot.  Officers were able to make contact with the passenger and render aid. Pierce finally ceased his efforts to resist arrest and began to comply with officers. He was arrested and charged with Escape - Felony, Controlled Substance Special Offender, Vehicular Eluding Resulted in Bodily Injury to Another Person, Second Degree Kidnapping, Vehicular Assault – Operated a Motor Vehicle in a Reckless Manner which was the Proximate Cause of Serious Bodily Injury to Another Person, Possession of a Weapon by Previous Offender, Unlawfully Carrying A Concealed Weapon, Resisting Arrest, Obstruction of a Peace Officer/Firefighter/EMT, Reckless Endangerment, False Imprisonment, False Reporting, Unlawful distribution/manufacturing/dispensing/sale or possession of controlled substance Schedule I or II-Conspiracy- 14 gm to 225 gm, Unlawful poss controlled substance Schedule I or II over 4 gm (3 counts), Unlawful possession of a controlled substance, Failed to (Remain at the Scene/Give Information and/or Aid) After Accident Involving Serious Bodily Injury, Failed to (Give Information and/or Aid) After Damaging Another Vehicle, Driver Failed to Provide Information After Accident Involving (Injury/Serious Injury/Death), Left Scene Without Providing Required Information After Striking Unattended (Vehicle/Property), Failed to Notify Police of Accident, Reckless Driving, Drove (Motor/Off-Highway) Vehicle When License Under Restraint (Denied) and Arrest of a Parolee (Parole Hold).
