On 5/19/2019 an Officer from the West Manchester Township Police Department received a call from a Loss Prevention Officer from Weis Markets located at 1800 Roosevelt Avenue in West Manchester Township.  The LPO wanted to report a white male stole 5 cans of lump crab meat and failed to pay for the items at the register. When the LPO stopped the male outside the store the male fled across Rt. 30 taking off his green t-shirt as he ran. Video showed the suspect enter the store and go to the seafood area where he selected the cans of meat and placed them into a shopping bag. The suspect then walks past all registers failing to pay for the merchandise valued at $114.74.

The Officer received information from an Officer with the York City Police Department, that the suspect in the photos is Edward Joseph MEER. The Officer ran a records check and found a PA Driver’s License with a photo attached to that record that does in fact match MEERE. He also looked at Facebook for that name and found a photograph on the profile for Edward MEERE that also matches the photograph from the store video.

Based on the above mentioned facts the Officer believes probable cause exists to charge MEERE with Retail Theft M2 and request a warrant be issued for MEERE.
