On 03/08/19 at 1549 hours an officer from the West Manchester Township Police Department was dispatched for active retail theft in progress at Walmart 1000 Town Center Dr. Employees were following a white male and white female in the front of the store that had already stuffed several articles of merchandise into backpacks on their backs. The subjects had also passed through the store self check-out and acted as if they purchased items at the register and bagged them. The subjects then walked back to pharmacy before starting to head for the front doors where officers stopped them.

Upon questioning the female advised she had several articles of clothing in the backpack that she had stolen. A searched of the backpack recovered clothing articles as well as a glass smoking device with residue commonly used to smoke illegal narcotics. She identified herself as Sierra GRIMSLED, admitted to smoking from the pipe earlier, and stated she used it to smoke methamphetamine.

The male in this case identified himself as Jacob KANTOWSKI. He admitted that the small baggie of a crystal like substance found by an officer on him was crystal meth. He also admitted to removing merchandise and placing those items into the backpack concealing them from Walmart.

Total amount concealed for the retail theft was $251.99 making this a misdemeanor.

Both subjects were charged with Retail Theft as well as various drug charges.
