Lancaster Township, PA — On August 10, 2026, at approximately 2:27 a.m., officers from the Lancaster Township Police Department responded to the 100 block of Gentleman's Way in Lancaster Township, Lancaster County, following a report of a suspicious vehicle.

During the investigation, officers observed signs of impairment consistent with alcohol intoxication. Pawan Rai was taken into custody on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI) and transported for chemical testing.

A subsequent blood test revealed Pawan Rai's blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be 0.324%.

As a result of the investigation, Pawan Rai has been charged with:

• One (1) count of Driving Under the Influence - Highest Rate of Alcohol (Misdemeanor)
• One (1) count of Driving Under the Influence - General Impairment
• One (1) count of Loitering and Prowling at Nighttime

The charges were filed before Magisterial District Judge Mary Mongiovi-Sponaugle of Magisterial District Court 02-2-03 in Lancaster.
