On August 13, 2026, at approximately 12:23 a.m., El Paso Police responded to the area of N. Pine Street and E. Front Street in El Paso regarding a highly intoxicated male, identified as Michael Barhum. The individual had called 911, stating he wanted to go somewhere, but dispatchers were unable to understand him.

Officers had previously advised Barhum on June 30, 2026, that if he continued to call 911 for non-emergency issues, he would be arrested. Barhum has a history of calling 911 multiple times a month while intoxicated, resulting in over 40 documented contacts with law enforcement.

Officers located Barhum at the corner of N. Pine Street and E. Front Street and took him into custody without incident or force. Barhum was transported to the Woodford County Jail, where he became uncooperative and argumentative. He was booked and left in the custody of the jail staff.
