Theft By Unlawful Taking, DUI-Controlled Substance Arrest, July 21, 2026, Hunter Truck at 1463 Manheim Pk (MT) – Jerome I. Martin, M/49, of Mount Joy, PA, was charged with the above offenses following a response to a report of a motor vehicle theft. The vehicle that was taken was being worked on by mechanics, and the keys were left in the ignition. The dealership was able to GPS locate the vehicle. The vehicle was located in a store parking lot, unoccupied. Jerome Martin was located in the store. Video surveillance showed Martin parking the vehicle and entering the store. During the course of the investigation, Martin showed signs of drug impairment, including disorientation, altered thought formation, body and eyelid tremors, and bloodshot eyes. Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered, and further clues of impairment were observed. 

A criminal complaint was filed on July 21, 2026. Jerome I. Martin was arraigned before MDJ Chudzik and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail.
