In 2024, speeding contributed to 31% of fatal crashes in NY, claiming 344 lives. During the week of August 3rd – August 9th, the Brighton Police Department will take part in Speed Week to promote safer roads and reduce serious crashes.

The goal isn’t simply to issue tickets; it’s to raise awareness, encourage safer driving habits, and ultimately reduce the number of injuries and fatalities on our roadways.
