Lancaster Township Police Charge Driver with DUI-Related License Suspension Offense

Lancaster Township, PA – On July 25, 2026, at approximately 12:16 a.m., officers with the Lancaster Township Police Department conducted a traffic stop in the 1000 block of Columbia Avenue after observing multiple equipment violations on a vehicle.

During the course of the investigation, officers determined that the vehicle's operator, Axel O. Ortiz, was operating the vehicle while his driving privileges were suspended as a result of prior DUI-related offenses.

As a result, Ortiz was charged with one (1) count of Driving While Operating Privilege is Suspended or Revoked for DUI-Related Offenses (M3).

The charges were filed before the Honorable Mary Mongiovi Sponaugle of Magisterial District Court 02-2-03 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
