Robbery, Simple Assault, Harassment Arrest, July 7, 2026, 200 block of Old Delp Rd (MT) – Peter Jon Hughes, M/52, was charged with the above offenses. The victim reported that they had been attacked by Hughes. The victim’s ring finger on the left hand was swollen and bleeding. This injury was caused by Hughes slamming his fist down on top of the victim’s hand as it was leaning on the kitchen counter. The victim relayed that Hughes had grabbed them by the hair and punched them in the stomach multiple times. The victim had scrapes on both arms, and the left arm was bleeding. These wounds resulted from Hughes's grabbing them by the hair and shoving them down the steps of the home. The victim attempted to call 911, but Hughes grabbed the victim again, threw them to the ground, took the victim’s phone (estimated value of $75), and left the scene in a vehicle. The victim had to knock on a neighbor’s door and ask them to call 911. 

An arrest warrant was issued. Peter Jon Hughes was found, arraigned before MDJ Monson, and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $25,000 bail.
