A 45-year-old Hummelstown resident, Christopher M. Horning, was apprehended in Florida by the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force as a result of the Derry Township Police Department's investigation into the statutory sexual assault of a juvenile. The investigation, which began in March 2026, revealed that Horning allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with a 13-year-old female, among other charges, within the jurisdiction of Derry Township. Following the allegations, Horning attempted to flee the country but was taken into custody in Florida after initially fleeing from Hummelstown.
