July 2, 2026
At approximately 12:00 pm, police responded to a business in Newtown Township for the report of a customer attempting to use multiple fake IDs to buy something. The employee confiscated the IDs, and the customer left prior to police arrival. Police secured the IDs as evidence.
At approximately 7:00 pm, police conducted a traffic stop on a dump truck operator for committing a vehicle code violation in the area of the Newtown Bypass and Swamp Road. Upon contact with the operator, the officer detected the odor of alcohol. The operator was unable to perform field sobriety tests satisfactorily and was placed under arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence. Charges are pending blood evidence results.
July 3, 2026
At approximately 2:45 pm, police were dispatched to a Newtown Township residence for the report of a dispute. As a result of the investigation, one male subject was taken into custody and charged with simple assault and harassment.
July 4, 2026
At approximately 3:45 pm, police were dispatched to a Wrightstown Township residence for the report of an attempted vehicle theft. The investigation is ongoing.
July 8, 2026
At approximately 6:15 pm, a Newtown Township business owner responded to headquarters to report a theft from his business. The incident was referred to the Detective Division for further investigation.
