LANSDALE BOROUGH- The Lansdale Borough Police Department is proud to announce that our Mental Health Co-Responder, Alexis Moyer, officially joined the department as a full-time employee on July 1, 2026.
Supporting individuals experiencing a mental health crisis and addressing the behavioral health needs of our community has long been a priority for Chief Ryan Devlin and the Lansdale Borough Police Department. Since beginning her work with LPD in September 2023 through a partnership with Merakey Behavioral Health, Alexis has become an invaluable member of our team. Her transition to a permanent position reflects the department's continued commitment to providing compassionate, professional, and effective responses to individuals in crisis.
With more than 20 years of experience in the social services field and a background in sociology, Alexis works alongside our officers to provide real-time behavioral health intervention, crisis de-escalation, and connections to ongoing support services. She also conducts follow-up with individuals after police encounters, helping ensure continuity of care and reducing repeat calls for service by connecting people with the resources they need.
Alexis works closely with community partners, including Manna on Main Street, Access Services, North Penn School District, and numerous Montgomery County agencies to ensure residents and families receive timely and appropriate assistance. Her ability to build trust, foster communication, and connect individuals with long-term support has made a meaningful impact throughout Lansdale and the surrounding North Penn communities.
"Alexis has proven to be an incredible asset to our department and the community we serve," said Chief Ryan Devlin. "Her compassion, and dedication have strengthened our ability to respond to individuals in crisis and connect them with the help they need. We are excited to officially welcome her as a member of the Lansdale Borough Police Department."
The department remains committed to strengthening partnerships between law enforcement and behavioral health professionals, recognizing that many situations require more than a traditional law enforcement response. Alexis' permanent role ensures that this critical service will continue to benefit our residents for years to come.
Please join us in congratulating and welcoming Alexis Moyer to the LPD family.
