On June 21, 2026, at approximately 2:07 p.m., the Lycoming Regional Police Department was dispatched to a report of a stabbing in the 100 block of North Broad Street in Jersey Shore Borough.
Patrol officers arrived on scene within two minutes and located a 17‑year‑old male victim inside a residence suffering from multiple lacerations. Officers immediately rendered first aid while securing the area, which required the temporary closure of a portion of North Broad Street.
The suspect was quickly identified, located, and taken into custody without further incident. The victim was transported to Geisinger Jersey Shore Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
The suspect, a 14‑year‑old juvenile from Jersey Shore, admitted to using a box cutter to slash the victim during a physical altercation that occurred in the neighborhood. Both juveniles are known to police, and one is currently on juvenile probation.
The 14‑year‑old has been charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, possession of an instrument of crime, recklessly endangering another person, disorderly conduct, and harassment. Lycoming County JPO took custody of the juvenile.
