Despite rainy weather forcing activities indoors and closing the patio, this year's Special Olympics Tip-A-Cop fundraiser at Funck's Restaurant was another tremendous success.
Thanks to the generosity of our community and the hard work of volunteers from law enforcement agencies across Lancaster County, we raised $5,200 for Lancaster County Special Olympics. This total exceeded our average fundraising amount over the previous five years.
Manheim Township Police Department volunteers included Chief Brian Freysz, Officer Hannah Martin, and Corporal Marc Wiczkowski. In total, 20 law enforcement officers from across the county participated in the event.
Participating agencies included East Hempfield Township Police Department, East Lampeter Township Police Department, Ephrata Police Department, Lititz Borough Police Department, Manheim Township Police Department, Northwest Regional Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, West Earl Township Police Department, and West Lampeter Township Police Department.
Thank you to Funck's Restaurant and all of the volunteers, staff, and community members who helped make this event possible. Your support directly benefits the athletes of Lancaster County Special Olympics, and we are grateful for your continued generosity.
We look forward to seeing everyone again next year.
