Police Activity Blotter 6/7/26 - 6/13/26

6/7/26, at 4:49 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of S. Union Street for a domestic assault. (KS-26-005479). The aggressor was no longer on location when Officers arrived. He was later located, taken into custody, and transported to Chester County Prison.

6/7/26, at 8:18 AM, Officers observed a subject in a motorized wheelchair that broke down at the intersection of E. Cypress Street and Dalmatian Street. (KS-26-005481). Officers were able to push the individual to the entrance of their residence in the 600 Block of E. Cope Road. 

6/7/26, at 7:10 PM, Officers were dispatched for a phone assignment regarding a suspicious person knocking on the reporting party’s door. (KS-26-005493). They later advised that it was an ex-boyfriend and that they were relieved to know the subject.

6/7/26, at 8:18 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Center Street for a report of juveniles consuming alcohol. (KS-26-005495). Contact was made with a homeowner who was hosting a graduation party. No signs of any underage drinking were observed.

6/8/26, at 7:08 AM, Officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with aftermarket window tint on all windows, modified loud exhaust, and a non-functional driver-side taillight. (KS-26-005509). Upon further investigation, a Non-Traffic Citation for Disorderly Conduct was issued for THC vape pens located inside the vehicle. 

6/8/26, at 4:04 PM, Officers were dispatched for a welfare check in the 300 Block of Marshall Street. (KS-26-005527). The subject was located outside and advised that their cellphone had died and that they were unaware that anyone was attempting to contact them.

6/9/26, at 8:34 AM, Officers were dispatched to the area of Lafayette Street and W. South Street for a dead cat in the roadway. (KS-26-005549). The area was checked and found negative.

6/10/26, at 11:48 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of S. Broad Street in response to a report of someone attempting to enter a locked caboose. (KS-26-005599). No damage was observed, but there was evidence suggesting someone attempted to pick the lock.

6/10/26, at 1:09 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of W. Mulberry Street and S. Union Street for a parking complaint involving a vehicle parked in front of a fire hydrant. (KS-26-005601). One parking ticket was issued.

6/11/26, at 7:54 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 700 Block of Lafayette Street for a report of an erratic driver. (KS-26-005642). Upon arrival, Officers patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle described by the reporting party.

6/12/26, at 12:55 PM, Officers were requested to assist the Southern Chester County Regional Police Department with serving a search warrant in the 200 Block of First Street, Avondale, due to the subject barricading themselves in a room inside the residence. (KS-26-005681). The subject was taken into custody without use of force.

6/12/26, at 3:01 PM, while on patrol, Officers observed a broken-down vehicle in the 100 Block of S. Walnut Street. (KS-26-005680). Officers assisted in pushing the vehicle out of the roadway, and a tow truck was called. 

6/12/26, at 8:52 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of S. Walnut Street for a stray dog. (KS-26-005692). The reporting party advised that they located the owner, and the dog was returned. The owner was contacted and advised of Borough Ordinance 3-4 regarding loose dogs. 

6/12/26, at 11:53 PM, Officers were dispatched to the parking garage for the exit gate not functioning. (KS-26-005697). Upon arrival, the gate appeared to be working appropriately, and Officers were able to assist the person exiting. 

6/13/26, at 11:24 AM, a traffic stop was conducted in the 700 Block of S. Garfield Street on a vehicle displaying counterfeit inspection and emission certification decals on the windshield. (KS-26-005710). Upon further investigation, a criminal complaint was completed for knowingly possessing, using, and displaying counterfeit inspection certification decals. 

6/13/26, at 1:22 PM, Officers were flagged down on patrol and advised of an identity theft report. (KS-26-005711). The reporting person advised there was a charge on their bank account that was not them. They were advised to contact the place of business the charge was from and to freeze their account with their bank.


Vehicle Accidents

6/9/26, at 9:54 AM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of E. Cope Road and S. Walnut Street. (KS-26-005553).

6/9/26, at 12:33 PM, a vehicle accident occurred at the intersection of W. Cypress Street and S. Washington Street. (KS-26-005516).

6/12/26, at 4:39 AM, a vehicle accident occurred on S. Union Street. (KS-26-005615).

6/12/26, at 3:08 PM, a vehicle accident occurred on E. State Street. (KS-26-005679).


Traffic Enforcement

42 Traffic Citations and 59 Written Warnings were issued.

65 Parking Tickets were issued.


Patrol & Business Check

13 Business Checks were conducted in the Business District.

83 Extra Patrol Checks were conducted in Kennett Square Borough.
