On May 27th, 2026, at 0001 hours, Carlisle Borough Police conducted a traffic stop on a bicyclist in the 300 block of N. West Street after the operator was observed failing to stop at a stop sign, driving in the opposing traffic lane, and didn't have lights illuminated on the bicycle from the front or back. When asked for identification, the male fled from the stop and traveled on posted "no trespassing" private property. The male was apprehended after his flight on foot and was taken into custody in the 300 block of N. Pitt Street. The male was identified as Shatiek MYERS, who fled the stop to avoid apprehension on an active bench warrant from another department. 

MYERS was searched incident to arrest and in property found on his person, paraphernalia used to consume controlled substances and a small amount of a controlled substance was located. 

MYERS was transported to Cumberland County Prison and arraigned on these charges.
