Recently, the Upper Southampton Police Department has been contacted by concerned citizens regarding phone scams involving individuals masquerading as Bucks County Sheriff's Deputies. These individuals claim to have an arrest warrant and demand payment to prevent an arrest. These individuals will use official sounding language, provide legitimate Deputy names and email documents which appear to be valid. The Bucks County Sheriff's Department does not contact people via phone or email and demand payment to avoid or prevent an arrest. If you are contacted by individuals who claim to be Deputies, hang up and contact the Bucks County Sheriff's Department at 215-348-6124 to verify if there is any legitimacy.
