As 2025 comes to a close, so does our very first year as a police department. It has been an honor to serve our community, and we’re grateful for the trust, collaboration, and support we’ve received along the way. As we reflect on this milestone, we’d like to share some of the progress we’ve made and our vision for the years ahead.
✨ Highlights from 2025
Community Engagement:
We launched several outreach programs designed to build trust and strengthen relationships with residents, civic organizations, houses of worship and the School District of Lancaster. These partnerships have become the foundation of our work.
Public Safety Initiatives:
We implemented new patrol strategies and introduced updated technology to enhance safety and improve our responsiveness. This year, we also expanded our prevention-focused services by offering Child Safety Seat Checks, providing complimentary gun locks and steering wheel locks, and installing a safe medication disposal bin to support responsible and secure practices within our community.
Training and Development:
This year, we made significant investments in the growth and professionalism of our team. One officer earned certifications in Crime Scene Photography and Crime Scene Investigation, strengthening our ability to process and document complex incidents. Another officer achieved the highly coveted Drug Recognition Expert (DRE) certification, enhancing our department’s capacity to identify and address impaired driving. We also expanded our internal expertise with one officer becoming a certified Firearms Instructor and a certified Glock Armorer, enabling us to conduct routine maintenance and repairs of our department‑issued sidearms in‑house. Leadership development remained a priority as well. One supervisor completed the full FBI‑LEEDA Trilogy—Supervisor, Command, and Executive Leadership Institutes—earning the distinguished Trilogy Award. A second supervisor began his own Trilogy journey by completing the Supervisor Leadership Institute. In addition to these individual accomplishments, all of our officers completed specialized training in areas such as DUI detection and enforcement, drug interdiction, tactics and many other critical skills that support effective and professional policing.
➡️ Looking Ahead to 2026 and Beyond
Community Partnerships:
We remain dedicated to strengthening collaboration with local organizations to promote safety, connection, and overall well‑being. We are proud to announce that next year we will be joining the 2026 Bleed Blue Challenge, helping increase blood donations for PennMedicine LGH, and to participate in the 2026 Pink Patch Project, raising funds and awareness for breast cancer research. These efforts reflect our commitment to supporting the health and resilience of our community both in and beyond our daily work.
Expanded Services:
We plan to introduce additional specialized training to better address emerging needs within our community.
Technology Upgrades:
We will continue investing in modern tools that support efficiency, transparency, and effective policing.
Thank you for your continued support. We look forward to growing together and building an even safer, stronger community in the years ahead.
