Retail Theft Arrest, September 29, 2025, Walmart at 2030 Fruitville Pk (MT) – Evan Alexander Coogan, M/34, of Waukesha, WI, was charged with the above offense following a response to a report of a shoplifter in custody. The officer spoke to a witness who explained that Coogan entered the sporting goods section of the store and selected two items worth a total value of $46.25. He placed these items into a black bag that he was carrying with him. The witness said that Coogan then exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. Coogan was stopped and escorted back into the store.

A criminal complaint was filed on September 30, 2025.  Evan Alexander Coogan was arraigned before MDJ LeFever and committed to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.
