Montelores Futures Fair

The Cortez Police Department is proud to announce its participation in the Montelores Futures Fair event set for December 4 at the Montezuma County Fairgrounds.

This event, sponsored by the Southwest Colorado Education Collaborative, aims to connect high school students with local resources and an opportunity to discuss career pathways with businesses, nonprofits, government, emergency services, and military branches. Students from Montezuma-Cortez, Dolores, Mancos, and Dove Creek high schools will be in attendance.

We had a great time at the March 2024 event connecting with high school students and hope that the event inspires teens to consider law enforcement as a career opportunity.
