8/11/24, at 11:49 AM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Center Street for a verbal argument (KS-24-007100). They contacted the two involved subjects, who advised they would go their separate ways for the evening to avoid further conflict.
8/11/24, at 4:28 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 200 block of S. Willow Street for a white Honda believed to be abandoned (KS-24-007105). The inspection was invalid, so the vehicle was marked abandoned.
8/12/24 at 2:06 AM, Officers were dispatched for an animal complaint for a bat stuck inside the reporting party’s apartment in the 100 Block of E. Cypress Street. (KS-24-007118). The reporting party advised they had limited mobility to get the bat out, and SPCA was not open this early to assist. Officers were able to trap the bat in a trashcan and remove it from the residence.
8/12/24, at 8:24 PM, Officers were approached by a citizen who advised that their mother needed assistance with her vehicle in the 100 Block of E. Linden Street, which would not start (KS-24-007136). Officers assisted with jumping the car.
8/12/24, at 8:30 PM, Officers were dispatched to the 500 Block of Ridge Avenue for a domestic disturbance (KS-24-007138). The matter was deemed civil after speaking with all involved parties, and no threats were made during the altercation.
8/12/24, at 9:14 PM, Officers were conducting a patrol check in the area of Kennett High School when they heard yelling on the football field (KS-24-007140). Four juvenile males were observed and advised they were not permitted to be there. The parents of the juveniles were notified of the incident.
8/13/24, at 11:08 AM, Officers were dispatched for a traffic complaint in the area of W. State Street and S. Washington Street (KS-24-007162). The reporting party advised that a bulldozer was blocking the view of the intersection. The construction company was contacted, and the equipment was moved without issue.
8/13/24, at 5:34 PM, Officers were dispatched to assist a Park Ranger in locating a vehicle involved in an incident in Nottingham Park (KS-24-007171). The registration was returned to a residence in the 400 Block of S. Walnut Street. Officers attempted to contact the vehicle owner twice with negative results.
8/14/24 at 8:44 PM, Officers were requested to assist the Kennett Township Police Department with a burglary report on Whitetail Drive (KS-24-007211). While en route, they were advised they were no longer needed.
8/15/24, at 1:41 PM, Officers assisted the Kennett Township Police Department with a vehicle that had fled an attempted traffic stop in the area of McFarlan Road and Hillendale Road (KS-24-007237).
8/15/24 at 3:11 PM, Officers received a report about purchasing a vehicle from the Facebook marketplace (KS-24-007238). The reporting party advised that they kept wiring money to a female subject in Texas for a vehicle but have yet to receive it. Officers advised this is a scam and not to wire any more money.
8/15/24 at 8:05 PM, Officers were dispatched to the area of S. Walnut Street and Cope Road for an erratic driver speeding southbound on S. Walnut Street (KS-24-007245). The vehicle was described as a black sedan. Officers patrol the area with negative results.
8/15/24 at 10:10 PM, Officers were dispatched by Chester County Police Radio for a welfare check in the 200 Block of S. Garfield Street (KS-24-007250). The call taker believed the anonymous female said please call the police. Contact was made with residences in the area, and Wawa’s parking lot and surrounding area were checked with negative results.
8/16/24 at 3:24 PM, Officers observed a red Hyundai traveling at 49 MPH in a 25 MPH zone in the 500 Block of E. State Street (KS-24-007264). Upon making contact with the operator of the vehicle on the traffic stop, Officers detected a strong odor of unburnt marijuana emanating from inside the vehicle. Subsequently, one Non-Traffic Citation was issued for the paraphernalia seized.
8/17/24 at 6:36 PM, Officers observed a silver Chevrolet traveling eastbound in the 100 Block of E. Cypress Street with no third brake light illuminating when braking (KS-24-007308). Upon approaching the vehicle during the traffic stop, Officers detected an odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. Due to the total weight of the seized marijuana, charges were filed in District Court 15-3-04.
8/17/24, at 11:55 PM, Officers were dispatched to Harvey Circle for a noise complaint of loud music (KS-24-007314). Officers contacted the homeowner and advised them to move the party inside and turn the music down due to the noise ordinance in the Borough.
8/12/24 at 1:04 PM, a Non-Reportable Accident occurred on Scarlett Avenue. (KS-24-007126).
