Damian Kelly, age 56, of Kennett Square was arrested and charged with terrorist threats, DUI, and other related traffic offenses after the 2022 Ram was stopped for failing to maintain its lane of travel. The incident occurred on July 3, 2024, at approximately 8:36 PM, in the 600 Block of E. Cypress Street, Kennett Square Borough. Officers were dispatched for an erratic driver report in the area of S. Union Street and E. Cypress Street and located the vehicle in the 200 Block of E. Cypress Street where it was observed swerving drastically. Upon making contact with Kelly, who was uncooperative, police observed indicators suggesting intoxication. He was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and refused a chemical test of his breath. Kelly was irate, confrontational, and verbally abusive the entire time he was in police custody. Damian Kelly was transported to Central Booking at Chester County Prison. Charges were filed in District Court 15-3-04.
